Book Review 12: Undying Affinity by Sara Naveed.

Sara Naveed's debut novel, 'Undying Affinity'  is a beautifully written romance novel. It is a rattling good read. The novel is indeed soul-stirring and has filmic vibes in it.

'Undying Affinity' is the story of Zarish Munawwar, a twenty-two-year-old lady, who is beautiful, rich, confident, extravagant and has everything she could ever ask for. She is proud of herself and believes that she can make any man fall for her. Her childhood friend, Haroon, is in love with her and their parents had also decided to get them married. But Zarish doesn't feel the same for Haroon. She likes him only as a friend. She does not reciprocate his feelings.
Zarish's life takes a steep turn soon after she meets Ahmar Muraad. She meets him for the first time at a restaurant, where she was hanging out with her friends, and he his. She was challenged by her friends to go and try to 'make him fall in love' with her. But certain circumstances lead her to trip into him; and she, without any reason, blames him for stumbling into her. She avenges by slinging mud at him. Later in the novel, we see that the guy with whom Zarish had behaved unjustly turns out to be their new Finance Professor at her University, Ahmar Muraad. She feels guilty of her unjust conduct and decides to apologize. But soon, Zarish falls head over heels in love with the extremely handsome, attractive and charming Ahmar. He too falls for her. And thus, begins their sweet, fairy-tale-like love story. But, as destiny would have it, they too face troubles and threats to their relationship. So, what do Zarish and Ahmar do when life gives them lemons? How do they face the challenges? Do they part ways?

The novel is gorgeously written in simple, lucid language. The plot twists make the book a page-turner. The plot is perfect for a romantic Bollywood movie.
The characters are extremely well portrayed. The personality of the character Ahmar Muraad is highly inspired by actor Fawad Khan, which makes him all the more appealing!

I loved this sweet romance novel.
If you love reading romantic fictions this book is for you. You will surely enjoy reading it!
