Book Review 17: Aqson Level 1 by Sreejib.

'Aqson Level 1' by Sreejib is undoubtedly one of the best urban fantasy books I have ever read. As a reader, I was completely blown away by the book. I mean, it's brilliant! The book is a delight to read. I just cannot express in words how much I loved and enjoyed reading the book. The author has penned an absolutely interesting as well as compelling novel which revolves around a mighty game, Aqson, played between God and Lucifer. The way the author has compiled Mythology with Politics in the novel is intriguing. The goal of the game is to capture the seat of the Prime Minister of India. Whoever succeeds in capturing it first, wins Aqson. The duration of the game is 30 years. Young and beautiful Yuvrani Rathore from Delhi, who is the president of the ruling party of India, is the human form of Lucifer's weapon in the game, Pithos. 'Hell! No Saints in Paradise' by A.K. Asif is an urban fantasy novel, set in the year 2015. The protagonist, Ismael, a Pakistani-American student pursuing his PhD, doing his thesis on Hell and Paradise. He believed and tried to prove that both are nothing more than mere human imagination. One day, a sudden encounter with a girl named Petra at a Cafe in New York changes the course of his life. She advises him to try a hallucinogenic drug called Ayahuasca, and join the Yage Yoga Centre, which will help him to experience and discover an alternate reality unknown to mankind. There, under the influence of hallucinogens, he comes across otherworldly beings and is asked to return back to his hometown, Lahore, and gain the confidence of his estranged father, a prominent extremist in the caliphate.
